Bio

I am a political and environmental anthropologist working in Latin America. In my recently completed PhD (2021) I examined theories of populism through working with agroecologists in Cordoba, Argentina: an unlikely but reliable part of the Peronist coalition. I am now a post-doctoral researcher working on the SeedsValues project (ERC Starting Grant). For this project I will be investigating maize cultivation in Oaxaca, Mexico with a particular focus on the interaction between state rural extension programs and growers’ collectives.
